WIN Seeks Social Media Intern for 2017

Intern NametagWIN is seeking a social media intern.

We are looking for a motivated, accountable and autonomous student with awesome writing skills, and the ability to recognize and make connections between real life and a variety of social channels.

You’ll help us enhance our online personality and make WIN even more valuable to its members through clever, appropriate, relevant and timely social media postings on channels including Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter. You will track and report on social media engagement and stats.

You might also manage full online campaigns, take and post pictures, gather and edit short video footage, update the WIN website, and research meaningful business/professional/networking articles and events to be shared with our membership.

You will work directly with the executive director of the organization and the Vice President of Marketing for the WIN Board of Directors.

This internship:

  • lasts through May or June of 2017
  • requires you to attend the monthly board meetings (one Wednesday per month from 4 to 5 p.m.), the monthly WIN Breakfasts (one Friday per month from 7 – 9 a.m.) and any other special events (WIN evening events, etc).
  • is offered for credit
  • is unpaid (However, you have access to a vast network of business professionals from nearly every industry across northern Nevada [read: excellent job opportunities if you know how to work the room!])
  • works entirely remotely
  • has an expected time commitment of 3-10 hours/week, depending upon the tasks and events of the particular week

The ideal candidate is a college-level student with a high level of understanding about communication basics and demonstrated experience managing a successful online profile for a business or non-profit organization.
